Marla Neufeld, a surrogacy attorney at Greenspoon Marder Law, spoke at the Lunch & Learn discussion series hosted by Family Court Services on April 15, 2015 in Miami. The discussion was titled “So you want to have a baby the ‘new’ old fashion way? An Overview of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) in Florida Through the Eyes of a Couple Seeking to Have a Child.” Neufeld discussed Florida’s laws on ART and how they impact the way families are being created with new technologies. She was joined by attorney, Hugo Acebo, and the Honorable Judge Scott Bernstein, a circuit unified family court/complex litigation division judge and administrative judge in the circuit family division. Neufeld presented to an audience of lawyers, judges, mental health professionals and mediators. Nine judges and a group of scientists from Miami Dade College were in attendance.
